Where Have You Focused
Your Will?
When you become ready for
something new, you must be willing to work toward your goal. Being willing
means two things: It means you are open to experience something new, and it
means you use your will power to focus on it and persevere until it is
accomplished. When you desire to discover your Silent Master consciousness,
your pursuit begins with your will to find it. Your Silent Master consciousness
is already within you, but you must seek it actively and with perseverance.
I mentioned before that you might be surprised how much energy
it takes to change your life. Since bad habits and negative thinking build up
such momentum over time, only your will power can break through and give you
the push to get started and to stay on course.
When you realize this, you may be thinking yourself discovery journey
is over! "I have no will power," a lot of people say. To this I say:
yes, you do. In fact, you're using your will power right now to pursue all the
bad habits you presently have. No one orders you to hide when it's time to meet
new people. No one makes you fail the exam you didn't study for. You do these
things by yourself, with the power of your own will. What you need to do is
learn to use your will power constructively and positively.
